SUBTLE TONES FOR AN AUTUMN WEDDING

When I first met Candice and Glyn, I was drawn to Candice's vision. Her ideas were different to most, with teal as the accent colour, and I was excited to work alongside them both to help create the wedding they had in their mind's eye. We discussed colour schemes and favourite flowers, and the first thing I took away was Candice's desire to have Gypsophila as her focal flower. Whilst traditionally a filler, Gypsophila can be used as a focal point, which I have found is fast becoming a favourite of trendy brides.

Their venue, the stunning Dodmoor House, nestled in the Northamptonshire countryside, is a captivating grade II listed barn, which oozes romance and charm. I knew their flowers needed to work well with the rustic setting and not over take the essence of the simplicity they wanted to maintain, so we opted for pale pink roses and spray roses, along with white piccolo eustomas, nestled amongst the gypsophila and cinera eucalyptus.

Centrepieces were simple yet effective, a mixture of lace bound jars displayed on rustic log cuttings, elevated the decor of the barn and softened it's wood features. Candice sourced the jars herself and opted to have different sizes and shapes to give an almost vintage feel to the decor.

The bridesmaids and flower girls all had smaller versions of Candice's bridal bouquet, which were all bound with twine and had pale crochet lace ribbon trailing, which gave an almost ethereal feel to the flowers. The youngest flower girl was also provided with a delicate gypsophila flower crown, which matched the older girls miniture bouquets perfectly.

Simple gypsophila pew ends tied the whole look together and finished off the ceremony room perfectly. Since posting a sneak photo a few months ago of our pew ends, we have been inundated with brides wanting to have these feature at their wedding too.

This wedding has been one of our favourites to date as we challenged ourselves, stepping out of our usual country garden and vintage style, to produce a more clean cut wedding look. We are honoured Candice and Glyn entrusted us with such an important aspect of their day, and we would like to wish them both a lifetime of happiness together!
