TERMS & CONDITIONS
RESIN FLORAL PRESERVATION BY THE FLOWER BOUTIQUE
1. Turnaround Times
- The Flower Boutique will not provide specific turnaround times due to the complex and time-consuming process that drying and setting your flowers in resin takes.
- Please anticipate receiving your order within 4-8 months from the date that we receive your flowers. This time is typical for flower preservation projects and in some cases may take longer, but this will be communicated with you if that is the case.
2. Payments & Refunds
- Payment of the balance is due in full upon receipt of your flowers. If you are on honeymoon or unable to pay on the day, please ensure payment is received in full prior to delivery of your flowers.
- Payment for custom designs is non-refundable
- If the date of your wedding or event has changed, we are more than happy to reschedule your preservation booking at no extra cost.
- If your event is cancelled, we will offer a credit note which can be used against any item in our shop
- Deposits and custom orders are non-refundable
- In the unlikely event that your flowers encounter postage delays or are in a condition not appropriate for the preservation process we will refund 50% of your deposit only.
3. Handmade Notice
- Due to the handmade nature of our resin floral preservation items there may be some imperfections present in the final product, such as:
o Bubbles
o Dust
o Uneven edging
o Small microcavities
o Square or sharper corners/edges
- Larger shapes and letters will have layer lines due to having to be poured in multiple layers, this is unavoidable and does not compromise the integrity or beauty of the final piece.
- Letters F and P are not free standing and will need a stand, not provided by us.
- The sides of the shapes will not be full gloss
- The back of some items may be uneven, especially where larger headed florals are used and are too large for the mould. This is not a defect but a product of the handmade nature of the item.
- By ordering and making payment you accept these conditions above.
4. Resin Notice
- Resin is a two part liquid that requires a careful mix and blend at an optimum temperature. Temperatures too low or too high compromise the viscosity of the resin and it’s setting time. Therefore during extreme high and low temperatures, there will be a delay in pouring as we are unable to guarantee the setting times of the resin.
- There is a very minimal risk that resin will set too quickly in higher temperatures and this may cause overheating in the mould and compromise the flowers in the resin. We have never encountered this problem but are aware of it and do everything to minimise the risk of this happening.
- Should overheating occur, we will restart the process to ensure your product is perfect.
5. Adding Sentimental Items
- We are able to add sentimental items to your designs, including photos, charms and ribbons. Please note that photos will need to be laminated and there is a small chance that the resin may seep into the lamination and create a shadow effect on the photo. This is not a sign of a defect and is out of our control.
- Clear crystal charms may appear see through in resin due to it’s clarity.
- Ribbons colours will appear darker as the material becomes wet.
6. Shipping & Your Flowers
- It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the flowers arrive in the best possible condition. Packing instructions will be provided & should be followed exactly for best results. I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to your flowers whilst they are in transit via any Third Party.
- We do our best to use as many of your flowers as possible however please note that we may not use all of the flowers provided. We will only use enough flowers for your chosen moulds and will use the best-preserved options only. We are unable to return any leftover flowers to you.
- If you have larger flowers and have chosen a small mould, we may need to deconstruct your flowers to fit inside the mould.
- When you place your order, you are agreeing to the understanding that some flowers change colour and shape as they dry. Your flowers may darken or change tone and they tend to shrink a little due to the drying process. Light pinks & purples sometimes turn into each other shade (pink can turn lilac & vice versa for example). White is the most delicate and will often turn a shade of cream/off-white and sometimes, yellow. Red or white berries will turn dark red, brown or black. It’s not possible to preserve succulents due to the amount of moisture they contain. Some flowers dry a lot better than others, if your arrangement is all one type of flower or you have concerns over their suitability feel free to check with us.
- There is a possibility that the flowers may become dull over time if left in constant direct sunlight.
- Please be aware that on rare occasions, we may not be able to fulfil your original order due flowers not preserving well, issues with resin, moulds or other unforeseen problems. This is rare but if this should occur, an alternative shape or partial refund may be offered.
